A Little About the Blogger

Hello everyone! I do want to introduce to all of you who would spare the time to read my ridiculous blog. I am a physician, an anesthesia resident, soon to be a fellow and attending at a prestige academic hospital somewhere in the Midwest of US. But deep down, I always dreamed of being a struggling novelist or playwright. Yes, I wish one day I would be able to write for a living and only put people to sleep on the side. That is why one of my new year resolution for 2018 is to finally put this blog that I paid for into use.

I was born in China, grew up in Canada, Toronto, the best city in the world and the namesake of my blog. I am fluent in English and Chinese. Obviously, I live in US nowadays and likely stuck here for a long while. Over my fairly young life, I have lived in many countries and cities and visited a whole bunch more. I can’t say I am loaded with life experience, but I think I have enough to tell stories. I love to write and have written short stories, essays, and yes fan-fictions. If you want to read any of them, please visit the sister site snowtoronto212. For this blog, I want to try to share my experiences, express my opinions, offer a true insight into the medical profession and possible provide advice to many budding pre-med students. After all, I have been through it all, pre-med, MCAT, medical school, Step 1, Step 2, Step 3, and now soon over residency.

There are a lot of great websites/blogs about the medical field out there like kevinmd, doximity etc, which I think are all very great, but this is a more personal touch from experience.
